Six Essential Resources For Getting Started Homeschooling

1

Find a local homeschooling group and attend an event.

(After selecting your state, scroll to the second link labeled “[Your State] Homeschool Organizations & Support Groups.”)

2

Read the regulations for your state.

3

If required (see step 2), submit a letter of intent to the appropriate official, by the due date.

4

Read Discover Your Child’s Learning Style by Willis, Mariaemma/Hodson, and Victoria Kindle, 2013 or 1999.

Complete the questionnaire, and ask your child(ren) to complete it.

5

Identify personal skills and academic subjects that you want your child(ren) to learn.

6

Look for books, online courses, and other materials for your learning plan.

So exciting! Congratulations! I hope these resources are helpful. If you would like to work with me one-on-one, I’m available for consultations.

Best wishes, Deborah
